Lunch Time @ OLOL "aka The Lake"

Since Baton Rouge sucks at all aspects of life and nothing at all stays open late, im only limited to 2 fast food restraunts..Burger King or Subway...Everything else is closed @ 2am....So i decided to eat fresh...kinda..

If you wanna call that eating fresh......Oh, thats the roast beef with hot gravy sandwich..The most messiest sandwich they have there...and a bowl of broccoli and cheese soup....

and while i was sitting down in the break room i saw this

The Reason I go by "Decuir"

For those who dont know, but Decuir is my last name. Over the past few years, people want to just call me by my last name; even tho I have a first name...But it all started back in 6th grade. Ill never forget, i had a social studies teacher name Mrs. Boudreaux..She is what i call a Super AKA (alpha kappa alpha)...She was the type to wear a pink and green ribbon in her hair, an AKA shirt, with AKA socks, with pink and green tennis shoes....She was in her 60's, so she was old school..Jackson State to be exact.(luv the boom!)....Well me and my cousin who last name was Collins was best friends at the time and we always hung out with each other, and sat by each other...Every day in class she would yell DECUIR!! or COLLINS!! to get our attention, and she would later call us by our last name for the next 3 years....She was a good teacher, but she got on everybody nerves sometimes...I wonder where shes at now???

Fast forward to high school. I was in the band (of course), and for some reason my Band Director always called everybody by their first name, but mine....

Roll Call would go like this:
Bill
Arron
Eric
Joseph
DECUIR
Katherine
etc etc

So, I was known as Decuir during my HS band days...

When I entered the college level of band, basically noone knew ppl names, so your name was the instrument you played: "Hey, trumpet player!" "Yo, Tuba!"

My name really hit hard when I was made a Mason. When i introduced myself to my friends, from which later became my brothers, they just started calling me Decuir by default...Espically the "older" brothers..(When i mean "older", im talking about the 40+ age group)....

So now when I travel or meet people, my first name doesnt really matter anymore..Im just Decuir now...

I gotta get back to work, its nap time.

A Random Boondocks Moment...

A Pimp Named Slickback: So you see, my dearest Riley, it is this instinctive and burning need to procreate between a man and a b!tch that not only keeps the human race going but also fuels many important industries such as my very own.

A Pimp Named Slickback: I don't think Homies Over Hoes is a sentiment that A Pimp Named Slickback can cosign, Riley. I mean don't get me wrong. A Pimp Named Slickback would put a lot of things over a ho. Money over a ho? Always. Brand new gators over a ho? Absolutely. A turkey sandwich with just tomato? Guaranteed. But homies? Oh no. A Pimp Named Slickback don't do sh!t for the homies. Let me reiterate. Don't do sh!t for the homies. Unless the homie wanna walk that stroll and get that money, a homie ain't gettin' a goddamn thing. And the same goes for brothers, peeps, dudes, fellas, dunnies, comrades, whatever the Fuk niggas is callin' each other nowadays. Sound like some gay sh!t to me.

I gots me a new laptop.

My old dell laptop is on the virge of hitting the dust. I kept it up for a pretty long time. It had 2gb ram with only a 80gb HD...Which isnt bad butttttt, i always use my computers to its max power and the dell wasnt cutting it for me any more. I rip, burn, create and edit DVDs a whole lot. It just wasnt doing it any more, so i bought this new HP laptop from wal-mart..


Its pretty good.....Def smaller, kinda too small cause my eyes are starting to go blurry..Its a 12.1" screen..It has 4gb of ram and a 500gb.....(yes, i said 500gb) Hard drive...I dont have to worry about storage space anymore...

Funny thing is, that imma be paying for this on my credit card for a longggg azz time....stay in school kids.
